Character consistency
How to keep characters consistent across every panel
Aug 4, 20261 min read

Character drift the way a face or outfit subtly changes between panels is the fastest way to break a reader's immersion. Here's how to keep everyone on-model.
Define the character once
Give Lignique a clear set of references for each character: face, outfit, and proportions. This becomes the anchor the tool returns to every time that character appears.
Reuse, don't re-describe
Instead of re-writing a character's appearance in every prompt, reference the locked character directly. Your prompt can then focus on the action and the shot.
- Use clean, well-lit reference images
- Keep one canonical look per character
- Let Character Lock carry consistency between panels
