These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Lignique website, software, downloads, documentation, support channels, and related services provided by Lignique Studios.

By accessing this website, downloading LIGNIQUE, installing the software, or using any related service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you should not use the website, software, or related services.

  1. About Lignique

Lignique is an AI-assisted creative software platform designed to help creators generate, process, and work with digital visual content, including comics, storyboards, characters, scenes, backgrounds, props, and related creative assets.

LIGNIQUE is currently provided primarily as a locally installed desktop software application. Certain features may interact with third-party artificial intelligence services, APIs, or external platforms through user-controlled workflows.

  1. Use of the Website

You may use the Lignique website only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

You must not:

Use the website for unlawful, harmful, misleading, abusive, or fraudulent purposes;
Attempt to interfere with, damage, overload, or disrupt the website or related systems;
Attempt to access restricted areas without permission;
Copy, scrape, reverse engineer, or misuse website content, branding, or technical systems;
Use the website in a way that violates intellectual property, privacy, cybersecurity, or data protection laws.

  1. Software Use

Use of the LIGNIQUE desktop software is subject to the applicable End-User License Agreement, software terms, marketplace terms, or licence terms made available with the software.

The software is licensed, not sold. Lignique Studios grants users only a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the software in accordance with the applicable terms.

You must not copy, resell, sublicense, rent, lease, distribute, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code, structure, workflow logic, or underlying implementation of the software except where expressly permitted by law.

  1. Bring Your Own Key and Third-Party Services

Certain LIGNIQUE features may operate on a Bring Your Own Key (“BYOK”) basis. This means users may need to provide their own third-party API keys, accounts, credentials, or access rights.

Third-party services may include artificial intelligence providers, API platforms, cloud services, software libraries, or other external services not owned or controlled by Lignique Studios.

You are solely responsible for:

Obtaining and maintaining valid third-party accounts and API access;
Securing your API keys, passwords, credentials, and accounts;
Understanding third-party pricing, usage limits, billing rules, and terms;
Complying with the terms and policies of third-party service providers;
Reviewing the privacy and data handling practices of those third-party services.

Lignique Studios does not control third-party services and is not responsible for their availability, pricing, performance, accuracy, security, data handling, policy changes, suspension, or discontinuation.

  1. User Content

“User Content” includes prompts, text, images, files, references, uploads, API keys, creative materials, and other data provided by users while using LIGNIQUE.

You retain ownership of your User Content.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your User Content is lawful, accurate, authorised, and does not infringe the rights of any third party.

You must not submit, upload, generate, process, or distribute content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, abusive, obscene, sexually exploitative, harmful to minors, deceptive, fraudulent, or otherwise prohibited by applicable law.

  1. AI Outputs and Creative Results

LIGNIQUE may help users generate or process creative outputs through AI systems or third-party services.

AI-generated outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, unsuitable, or potentially infringing. Lignique Studios does not guarantee that any output is accurate, original, legally usable, commercially safe, or free from third-party rights.

You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, editing, and legally clearing any output before using it publicly, commercially, professionally, or in any published work.

LIGNIQUE is a creative assistance tool. It does not provide legal, financial, medical, professional, regulatory, or compliance advice.

  1. Intellectual Property

All rights in the LIGNIQUE software, website, brand, name, logo, interface design, workflow structure, software architecture, implementation logic, documentation, visual identity, and related materials belong to Lignique Studios or its licensors.

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of LIGNIQUE, its software, branding, workflows, source code, design systems, or intellectual property to any user.

You may not use the LIGNIQUE name, logo, branding, website content, screenshots, software design, or related materials in a misleading, unauthorised, infringing, or competitive manner.

  1. Feedback

If you provide suggestions, ideas, comments, feature requests, bug reports, or other feedback about LIGNIQUE, Lignique Studios may use, modify, develop, publish, or incorporate such feedback without restriction, attribution, or compensation, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

  1. Fees and Future Paid Services

LIGNIQUE may currently be available as a free desktop application or free website resource.

Lignique Studios reserves the right to introduce paid versions, premium features, subscriptions, credits, usage-based pricing, support plans, commercial licences, or other paid services in the future.

Any future paid service may be subject to separate pricing, payment terms, refund terms, subscription rules, marketplace terms, or additional conditions.

  1. Privacy

Use of the website, software, and related services is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

The LIGNIQUE desktop software is designed to operate primarily on the user’s device. Certain interactions with third-party AI/API services may occur only when initiated by the user.

Lignique Studios does not sell, rent, or commercially exploit User Content.

  1. Security and User Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your own device, internet connection, files, accounts, API keys, credentials, and third-party service access.

You should not share private API keys, passwords, licence credentials, or confidential files with unauthorised persons.

No software, website, or online transmission method is completely secure. Lignique Studios does not guarantee absolute security against every possible technical risk, cyber incident, third-party breach, or unauthorised access beyond its reasonable control.

  1. Prohibited Uses

You must not use LIGNIQUE or any related service to:

Violate any applicable law or regulation;
Infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other third-party rights;
Create harmful, abusive, exploitative, obscene, misleading, or unlawful content;
Generate impersonation, deception, misinformation, fraud, or unlawful deepfake-style content;
Develop, train, benchmark, or improve a competing product using LIGNIQUE’s software, workflows, outputs, interface, prompts, or proprietary structure;
Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, scrape, copy, or extract LIGNIQUE’s software, website, systems, or proprietary logic;
Circumvent technical safeguards, licence limits, access controls, or usage restrictions;
Overload, damage, interfere with, or compromise LIGNIQUE systems or related infrastructure.

  1. Disclaimer of Warranties

The website, software, downloads, outputs, documentation, and related services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lignique Studios disclaims all warranties, representations, and guarantees, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, compatibility, uninterrupted operation, or error-free performance.

Lignique Studios does not guarantee that the website, software, third-party integrations, AI outputs, downloads, or related services will always be available, accurate, secure, compatible, uninterrupted, or free from errors.

  1. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lignique Studios, its affiliates, licensors, service providers, officers, and representatives shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or relating to the website, software, third-party services, AI outputs, user content, or inability to use LIGNIQUE.

This includes loss of profits, loss of business, loss of opportunity, business interruption, loss or corruption of data, loss of goodwill, or other commercial or economic losses.

Where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law, the total liability of Lignique Studios shall be limited to the amount actually paid by the user for the relevant service, if any, or a nominal amount where no fee has been paid, to the extent permitted by law.

  1. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Lignique Studios, its affiliates, officers, representatives, licensors, and service providers from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from:

Your use or misuse of the website, software, or related services;
Your User Content, prompts, inputs, uploads, or generated outputs;
Your breach of these Terms;
Your violation of applicable laws;
Your infringement of third-party rights;
Your misuse of third-party APIs, AI services, accounts, or integrations.

  1. Termination

Lignique Studios may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the website, software, downloads, support, or related services if a user breaches these Terms, misuses LIGNIQUE, violates applicable law, creates security risk, infringes rights, or exposes Lignique Studios to legal, regulatory, technical, or reputational risk.

Lignique Studios may modify, suspend, discontinue, or replace any feature, version, integration, website page, or service where reasonably necessary for technical, legal, commercial, security, or operational reasons.

  1. Changes to These Terms

Lignique Studios may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the software, website, business model, legal requirements, third-party integrations, or operational practices.

Updated Terms may be posted on this page. Continued use of the website, software, or related services after updates means you accept the revised Terms.

  1. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India.

Subject to applicable law, the courts located in Alappuzha, Kerala, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, claims, or proceedings arising out of or relating to these Terms, the website, software, or related services.
